Placing a high-performance piece of equipment with PLC-based controls in a remote location, places a heavy burden on the owner to seek and train Operators and Maintenance personnel skilled enough to achieve satisfactory performance. As Konecranes first entered the Indian market, with no such support system in place, decisions were made to build the needed Services Operation to support each of the coker crane delivery sites. Today, some of the highest levels of customer satisfaction for any Konecranes cokers comes from the Indian sites where Konecranes provides both the Operators and Maintenance personnel. Proof of the quality of this support is the amount of coke handled in India to date, with very few significant equipment outages. In addition, the main Coker Support Team (Coker Team India) now regularly commissions and supports cokers in locations outside India, in the Middle East, Far East and Europe.
