Processing Nonstandard Feedstocks - SDA Bottoms, Hydrocracker Bottoms, Visbroken Material, Stranded Fuel Oil

Processing Nonstandard Feedstocks (e.g. SDA Bottoms, Hydrocracker bottoms, Visbroken Material, Stranded Fuel Oil) to valuable products is a tricky opportunity and needs a case-to-case solution depending on the crude slate and the configuration of the refinery considered.

Production of road grade bitumen using the Biturox® technology is turning out to be a good business after IMO 2020 and the COVID crisis. On one side, low value residues are processed to saleable finished product, and at the other end the flexibility of the Biturox® reactor makes it possible to combine several residues as feedstock to the Unit.

Using our pilot plants in close cooperation with the Licensors of upstream processing units, the best possible solution is developed during the laboratory test phase to ensure Client’s satisfaction at the end of the project.
