Facilitator: Todd Foshee, FCC Licensing Technology Manager for Shell Catalysts & Technologies
Overview
Shell has a complete portfolio of FCC licensed technology and services for third party clients which includes SHARC, Shell’s proprietary FCC kinetic model. Developed through decades of research and unit data, SHARC has a proven track record of providing accurate model results through unit monitoring, allowing the FCC engineer to better identify the need for unit improvements and evaluate economic opportunities such as advantaged feeds, catalyst reformulations and the use of additives. SHARC is also capable of being integrated into the refinery online optimizer, to help provide the best refinery margin outcomes. This presentation will discuss SHARC uses and benefits as well as give examples of success.
