Over the past two years, we have seen significant improvements in the design and implementation of critical life extension repairs to delayed coker vessels. This presentation will discuss:

  • Live Scanning Tooling to provide real-time surface profile information during structural overlay application to correct potential surface profile deviations that may affect weld deposit operating life.
  • Field case study of the largest online support skirt project performed to date.
  • Early results for a patent pending skirt flexibility enhancement that will significantly increase the life-to-crack initiation in the skirt to vessel attachment connection.
