Best Practices: Preparing Process Equipment for Entry, Inspection, and Maintenance

Presented By

ZymeFlow Decon Technology -

Conference:

Preparing process equipment for entry is often overlooked when putting together turnaround plans but this critical step either keeps the schedule on track or adds delays at the front end of the shutdown. There are several areas that delay this step and will be addresses in this workshop including: issues with de-inventorying equipment, plugged lines, hardened coke deposits, inadequate steam, high contaminant readings (H2S, benzene/LEL), pyrophoric iron sulfide fires, and cleaning difficult equipment (desalters, amine systems, tower trays/bottoms). Best practices to prepare for these difficult areas and strategies to avoid time delays will be discussed.
