Thomas Garry - Emerson Process Management
Wireless technology has been gaining acceptance in the industrial environment for many years now as security fears have been put to rest. Properly applying wireless technology is still often misunderstood as users may push limitations in difficult applications or, more often, overlook applications which can result in increased production revenue, higher reliability, and better process control.
During this presentation, we will offer and explain an easy-to-apply matrix on basic wired vs. wireless point decision making. From there we will explore some of the key best- practices to ensure a successful wireless project and cover several applications which lend themselves extremely well to wireless technology. These applications are often not considered at all because they require thinking outside of the norm.
