AFPM and API have developed a variety of programs and resources for the Petroleum Refining and Petrochemical Industries aimed at improving process safety across those industries. This presentation will provide an overview of the programs, share industry data collection results, share materials developed under the programs, and review the Event Sharing database.
Steve Mason is the Manager of North American region Operational Excellence for LyondellBasell and is the Vice-Chair of the Learning and Outreach subgroup for AFPMs Advancing Process Safety Programs. He has 26 years of experience in refining and chemical manufacturing including 3 years as an Asset Manager for the Houston Refinery Cokers. He is a longtime fan of the Refining Community and was recognized as the Coker person of the year in 2009.
