At first glance, all refineries look the same. We all have the same stuff: pipes, pumps, towers, vessels, motors…. you name it. A Crude Unit in Singapore still looks a lot like one in California. One facility has an FCCU while another has a Hydrocracker, but 80% of the kits are the same. However, it doesn’t take very many site visits or even conversations with other folks to realize that there are huge differences in how successful we are actually running them. WHY IS THAT?
