ExxonMobil starts Baytown flexicoker turnaround Update

Houston, 13 July 2011 (Argus) A turnaround has started on the flexicoker at ExxonMobil’s 557,000 b/d refinery in Baytown, Texas, the company said today.
I can confirm that turnaround has started on the Baytown flexicoker unit as part of scheduled maintenance, ExxonMobil spokeswoman Rachael Moore said.
The refinery also had emissions from a sulfur conversion unit yesterday, according to a US government report.
The unit’s emission point released hydrogen sulfide due to an unknown cause at 5:10pm ET yesterday, according to a filing with the US National Response Center (NRC), whose source was not stated. Workers made adjustments to the clauf feed, the report said.
