Valero Restarts Heavy Oil Cracker at Corpus Christi Refinery

Feb. 19, 2009 (Bloomberg) — Valero Energy Corp., the largest U.S.
refiner, restarted a heavy oil cracker at its plant in Corpus
Christi, Texas, after completing planned maintenance.
The turnaround on the heavy oil cracker has been
completed, Bill Day, a company spokesman, said today in an e-
mail. It is increasing toward planned rates.
The refinery can process 146,000 barrels of crude oil a day,
according to the Energy Department.
