Valero Energy Plans Refinery Maintenance at Four Plants in 2009

Jan. 27, 2009 (Bloomberg) — Valero Energy Corp., the largest U.S.
refiner, said it plans to perform maintenance at refineries in
Texas, California and New Jersey.
Previously reported work includes 30 days of maintenance
that began Jan. 15 on an HOC unit at its Corpus Christi, Texas,
refinery and 35 days of maintenance on the crude unit and 45 days
of work on the coker unit at its Texas City, plant, announced on
Jan. 26.
In addition, Valeros Benicia, California, refinery, will
undergo maintenance for 14 days in February, and the Paulsboro,
New Jersey, plant will have coker maintenance in April for 35
days, the company said in an e-mailed statement.
Valero owns 16 plants from Quebec to Aruba. Most are located
along the U.S. Gulf Coast.
