    The following table lists unplanned and planned production outages at U.S. refineries as reported by Dow Jones Newswires. The information is compiled from both official and unofficial refining sources and doesn’t purport to be a comprehensive list.
    A mechanical problem caused unplanned flaring at Royal Dutch Shell’s 156,000 barrel-a-day refinery in Martinez, California, early Sunday morning, according to a filing with state regulators.
    Tesoro said Friday that its Anacortes, Wash., refinery, rocked by a deadly explosion in April, will return to normal operating rates by the end of the following week.

    Valero Corpus Christi, TX 315.0 Butamer unit shut for brief repair on Oct. 19. No impact to production, the Co. said.
     Valero Port Arthur, TX 325.0 Repairing leak found in a cooler at Cat reformer no. 1344 Oct. 26. Co. said this will have no impact to production.
    Valero Three Rivers, TX 100.0 Brief emissions reported Nov. 1 after a pressure valve tog stuck on equipment at a hydrodesulfirization unit. No impact to production.
    BP/Husky Toledo, OH 160.0 Crude oil throughput was reduced n/a by unspecified amount owing to Enbridge’s crude oil Line 6B leak/closure since July 26.
    Exxon Joliet, IL 239.0 Refinery operations may be affected by Enbridge’s decision to reduce crude oil delivery rates on Line 6A while integrity inspections continue. Co. not immediately available for comment on Oct. 13.

A premium base-oil facility was also being planned, co. said in late Feb.
    Exxon Baytown, TX 560.6 New ULSD Units commissioned, Co. said Oct 21. ULSD supply will increase by over 3 million gallons from Baytown & Baton Rouge. Extended period of scheduled Est. maintenance at crude unit, End Oct several hydrofiners and other units starts week of Aug 22. Return to normal operations unclear, sources say work will take two months to complete.
    Exxon Chalmette, LA 120.0 Crude throughput will be reduced to 90,000-b/d as redundant units and about 70 jobs are taken out of service and cut for economic reason. These have begun to take place, the co. said Aug 26.
