Valero reports flaring at Benicia refinery-filing
HOUSTON, June 9, 2010 (Reuters) – Valero Energy Corp reported flaring at its 170,000 barrel per day (bpd) Benicia, California, refinery on Wednesday, according to a notice filed with California pollution regulators. The notice did not specify which unit was involved in the upset that triggered the flaring.
Exxon warns of L.A. refinery flaring -filing
HOUSTON, June 9, 2010 (Reuters) – Exxon Mobil Corp warned of planned flaring at its 150,000 barrel per day (bpd) Los Angeles-area refinery in Torrance, California, between June 10 and July 2, according to a notice filed with California pollution regulators. The notice did not say why the refinery would need to use its safety flare system, which is engaged when production units do not operate normally.

Motiva to Emit Gases From Port Arthur Refinery Coker (Update1)
June 8, 2010 (Bloomberg) — Motiva Enterprises LLC is repairing a pump at a coking unit at its Port Arthur, Texas, refinery, which may lead to emissions of gases from today through June 13.
Exxon plans work at Beaumont, TX refinery-source
TORONTO, June 9, 2010 (Reuters) – Exxon Mobil Corp has work scheduled for autumn at its 348,500 barrel per day refinery in Beaumont, Texas, according to a source familiar with refinery operations on Wednesday. The source was unable to confirm what units would be taken down for work or the exact timing of when the work would begin. Trade sources said the hydrocracker and reformer were two units which would be worked on.
