Does anyone have air filters installed on the inlet to the combustion air blower for your reaction furnace?  It looks like my intake shroud has supports for square furnace type filters, but I’ve never seen any installed.  If you have filters, do you have a dP guage or alarm to indicate when the filter is beginning to plug or do you just change them frequently?

Ours are changed when we get a HIDP alarm @ 12 INHG. The filters will generally last about 6 months Ont the larger blowers we also have much larger micron pre-filters, which are very easy to change on the fly and prolong the life of the primary filters. They seem to also filters birds…..damn Pigeons!
