    Performing maintenance shutdown of a unit tail gas and make the replacement of the catalyst reactor. Anyone have this exchange accomplishment, as was done and what the best practices to accomplish?

    Replacement of the tail gas reactor bed is fairly simple but a large effort. Remove the old one and install the new one. It is helpful to have an array of thermocouples in the new bed if you don’t already have that for performance monitoring. You should also have good support of the catalyst to reduce the potential for breakage and channeling.
