Community affects may include; increased traffic, higher flares, and slightly elevated noise and odor levels as operating units are shut down and re-started.Traffic will be the heaviest at shift change time between 5:30 – 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. A high percentage of the maintenance and capital work will be performed by a workforce of approximately 1600 people, working seven days a week in order to complete the work safely and efficiently.

A significant amount of the work will be performed on projects to further improve environmental performance at the refinery, such as fuel gas treatment. During the turnaround there will be no interruption of deliveries to customers.
