We are processing LVGO/HVGO from CDU in FCCU. We maintained the feed temperature around 300-315 Deg C. We found strainer chocking problem frequently and it leads to frequent strainer cleaning job. We also keep both strainer inline to sustain throughput. So during strainer cleaning job we have to run unit with low feed rate. We also received feed (Cold VGO) from tank. I was thinking about the gum formation in strainer due to high temperature.
My question is that Is gum formation a main reason for the frequent strainer chocking OR any other reeason is there. and what we can do to reduce strainer cleaning frequency? OR can we put any additive which does not allow gum formation at this temperature? OR any othere idea to sustain throughput?
