Exxon Says Units Trip at Baytown Refinery After Rain Storm

    By Jordan Burke
April 26, 2009 (Bloomberg)Exxon Mobil Corp., the world’s largest oil company, said a hydrocracker and a flexicoker tripped at its Baytown, Texas, refinery after five inches of rain caused refinery steam pressure to drop.
The incident began at 8:54 p.m. local time on April 24, the company said in a regulatory filing. The units were “stabilized quickly,” according to the filing. There was no impact to supply and all customer needs were met, the company said.
The refinery can process about 590,500 barrels per day, according to the Energy Department.

I got a report that a contractor got killed while unheding a coke drum at XOM-Torrance coker, are you aware of it?
