Delek begins Sulfur Unit work TX Refinery

HOUSTON, June 9, 2009 (Reuters) – Delek US Holdings Inc (DK.N) took a SCOT tail gas unit offline at its 58,000 barrel per day (bpd) Tyler, Texas, refinery on Tuesday, according to a notice filed with state pollution regulators.
The unit, which removes sulfur compounds from gas released by the refinery’s sulfur plant, will be down at least through Sunday, according to the notice filed with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.

The refinery’s sulfur recovery unit and tail gas incinerator will continue to operate during the work. (Reporting by Erwin Seba)
