By Rose Marton-Vitale, Of DOW JONES NEWSWIRES
NEW YORK -(Dow Jones)- ConocoPhillips (COP) on Tuesday said its oil refinery in Ponca City, Okla., is in the process of restarting after a storm-related power outage Monday evening caused a plantwide shutdown.
“All refinery units are shut down,” company spokeswoman Janet Grothe said. ” Currently, there is no flaring. We are in the process of restarting the refinery, and there may be some flaring associated with the startup.”
No further details were provided. It isn’t clear when the 195,000-barrel-a-day refinery will resume normal operations.
