Report: ConocoPhillips Says Lake Charles Refinery Project Under Way
ConocoPhillips said it has begun a maintenance project on its Lake Charles, La. Oil refinery, according to Reuters.
Conoco reportedly moved up a project involving a gasoline-making catalytic cracker unit, oil traders told Reuters, and the project is expected to take five to six weeks.
A spokesperson would not confirm the type of work being done or the duration of the project, telling Reuters in an email, As for details on unit(s) involved, rates and schedule, we generally consider those proprietary and subject to change.”
The Lake Charles refinery typically processes 239,000 barrels each day, according to the report.
