NEW YORK, April 20, 2009 (Reuters) – ConocoPhillips is starting maintenance on Monday on the electrostatic precipitators of two gasoline-making fluid catalytic cracking units at its 124,000 barrel-per-day Borger, Texas refinery, the company said in a filing with state regulators.
“The Unit 29 and 40 Electrostatic Precipitators (ESPs) are scheduled for maintenance from 04/20/09 to 04/24/09. The electronic cards associated with the ESP rappers will be replaced as part of this maintenance activity,” it said.
“The maintenance is being conducted to minimize emissions,” Conoco added in the filing with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.
