Recently a coke calciner client claim about a fire in the coke at sleeves filter. These filters recovery the coke particle and dust in the gas from the calciner boiler that goes to the chimney. These fires started after April. We do not produce anode coke but only fuel coke. Besides that, the coke anode client buy fuel coke from us to mix with other coke. It seems the problem are related with our process conditions to produces fuel coke that are less severity to anode coke (VCM, HGI, Particle size and etc) but we are not sure. What can we do not have these problems with our client (fire in the sleeve filters) ? Which process variables do we need to check ?
