    PetroChina’s Jilin Oil Refinery Ready to Begin Operations in End-October

    PetroChina Co.’s Jilin refinery in northeastern China will be ready to start operation by the end of October after an expansion, parent China National Petroleum Corp. said in its online newsletter today. PetroChina is increasing the Jilin plant’s annual capacity to 10 million tons from 7.5 million tons, it said.

    Here is update (previous post 11/26/09) on PetroChina / CNPC’s Jilin Refinery (&Coker) 43% expansion to 10 MM mtpy or 200MBPD which is on-schedule to be operational by the end October 2010.   The existing anode coker was installed in 2003.  This Jilin refinery & coker expansion will take the 700 kmtpy expansion of Jinlin Oilfield, which was also set to be completed in 2010.
