Here is recent update on the Saudi’s SATORP (Saudi-Sinopec JV) Yanbu Coking Refinery Project – it is 97% Complete & CEO’s toured it first April 2013 ( expected to be online Aug-Nov 2013). The coker is 117MBD 6 drum unit with Bechtel-COP Technology (Given JV partners soon be Sinopec Tech).
Saudi’s JERP (Saudi-Total JV) Jubail Coking Refinery completed its 103MBD 6 drum Coker with Foster Wheeler Technology in May 2012 but Startup plant has been delayed by Power unit – now expected up online end Apr 2013.

Global Fuels Export, Refinery rationalization & Petcoke Aragedon is getting closer ……… China vs MidEast with India-EU-Africa and anyone else middle as roadkill. US be ok given lower energy cost and big domestic market – with gasoline closed exports because of all major expansion coming online (puts rest world in Diesel Economy that I’ve been saying ….. and hurt locker. China/Russia/Mideast/Some India are ok due lot chemical plant integration for gasoline intermediate products. But not good for Export Refineries (wont have Max diesel if they are running a diesel economy with limit on how much gasoline/intermediate gasoline components they can produce).
