I posted update on Aruba S/D for Jul-Aug 2009 under the Coker News section (reason will be ~ bad economics/low demand-high crude price).
COP & Petrobras were both looking at Aruba along with others in 1H2008 but it broke down due Valero price expectations & capital investments it would require – Aruba doesnt make any gasoline product. Also Petrobras decided to buy out other half of Houston Refinery it owns & step up investment in +63 offshore rigs by 2012 due all heavy crude field finds (check previous articles posted on Refinery & Coker sections).
