Here is moving article by Joe Nocera (also a joint author in book that recaps historical cause US Financial Crisis – “All Devils are Here/Hidden History of Financial Crisis) who captured the injustice going on in second trial/trumped charges agains Mikhail Kordorkovsky (former Yukos CEO before confiscation by Putin Regime).
And provides insight on the tragedy / death of the democratic business & political process going on in Russia by Putin KGB style political regime that in one authors view became little more than “Criminal Corporate Raiding in Russia”!
It is also clear from Authors comments that the US adminstration has not done anything to protest the trial or the demise of of rule law which is growing bolder in Russia.
Definitely a caution flag for anyone Oil/Coking industry doing Business Development or JV work with Russian companies and a big reason to fight against any effort by China to award Russia with WTO status (~promise hinted to for signing off on Kyoto which also gave China freedom as undeveloped nation for Environmental regulations).
