Here is update on Statoil Mongstad Coking Refinery Upgrade Aker contract option renewal for 2011 (the modifications were fifth project across Statoils refineries). Aker is doing minor modifications at the Mongstad refinery.
Statoil owns 79% Mongstad refinery, processes crude from off Norwegian shelf, exports most products to Contiental Europe and is one Europes largest refineries in Norway.
StatoilHydro has contract with MW Kellog doing upgrade on Mongstad coker for the 186MBD (Capacity 220MBD) refinery that was due to complete in 2010. The Mongstad 28 MBD coker was closed in 2009 for revamp & again in a scheduled T/A in April 2010 with projected completion in Mid 2010 to Early 2H2010. Article does not mention coker upgrade portion.
