Looks like the Sinclair is moving out of the planning stage and into the EPC stage with the award to Foster Wheeler. The Midwest Tulsa refinery coker addition is following the path of several other Midwest refineries, that already have cokers, and have either debottlenecked and begun to handle, or are expanding to enable them to handle heavier and cheaper crude’s. Canadian blended and synthetic crude’s are at top of the list on potentials and will shift a lot of coke production into the 6.5% Sulfur category.
