Here is update on Hamaca – Petropair Upgrader. Actually all 4 VeneZuela upgraders/heavy oil coking projects are suffering loss production from power outages.
The original Ameriven/Hamaca Upgrader was JV with PDVSA/CVX/COP & after PDVZ seized 60% control – COP like XOM on Cerro Negro rejected PDVSA value offer & is in dispute. The renamed Hamaca project – Petropair Mixed Co does not mention COP in this news article.
Think PDVSA is going to regret loss investment partners on projects along with their expertise at keeping them at capacity.
