Replacement of the tail gas reactor bed is fairly simple but a large effort. Remove the old one and install the new one. It is helpful to have an array of thermocouples in the new bed if you don’t already have that for performance monitoring. You should also have good support of the catalyst to reduce the potential for breakage and channeling.
