Update on one of IOC’s three Refinery & Coker Expansions that have been announced in EPC or Planning stages. This is the New Grassroots Refinery & Petrochemical complex at Paradip in Orissa target is now 2011. The PMC group was selected for the FEED on the IOC project.

IOC already has cokers at Digboi, Gawahati & Barauni Refineries.

Three other India companies have refinery/coker expansions planned – Reliance, Mangalore & Bharat
Bharat already has a coker at Numaligarth (was a Grassroots refiner coker & Calciner that came online in 4Q 1999). Reliance has the worlds largest coker that has larger production petcoke than all the rest of India’s cokers combined, and is doubling capacity.
