In our Coker the MTBF for these pumps has been @ 5 months, mainly our pump problems have been related to outboard (high prsssure) mechanical seal leaks (Dual unpressurized / John Crane 2609 & API Plan 32 / 52). We run Flowserve HED pumps. It would be great to hear another experiences with these service and what have you done to improve your reliability.
