Here is update on COP Wilhelmshaven Refinery Expansion – it was cancled today / July 22, 2010 but it will still cost $1.1B impairment to 2Q10 earnings.
COP bought the 235MBD Hydroskimming Wilhelmshaven Refinery (built 1975) in 2006 and announced plans 2008 to add a
new coker, hydrocracker & hydrogen plant which was expected to increase the refineries clean product yield by 80%. In Nov 2009 COP announced it was delaying the project to meet capital budget constraints.
