July 21 (Bloomberg) — Citgo Petroleum Corp., a U.S. refiner
wholly owned by Venezuela’s state-owned oil company, said it
plans to start a unit at its Corpus, Christi, Texas, refinery
after an “upset.”
The startup of the cat cracker after a “unit upset and
shutdown” will begin at 8 a.m. local time and will take 24
hours, according to a filing today with the Texas Commission on
Environmental Quality.
The Corpus Christi plant can process 165,000 barrels of oil
a day, according to the U.S. Energy Department.
