courtesy of Heurtey PetrochemDelayed Coking Process increases the yield of refined products from each barrel of crude oil processed. In today’s market, every additional day of operation maximizes the profitability. This can be achieved by maximizing the Run Length of Delayed Coker Furnaces. Radiant Flux Profile is critical to achieving the desired run length.

A case study is presented on the effect of radiant flux profile on coker furnace run length. The Results of flux profile test at vendor facilities are presented along with the improved run length achieved once the flux profile was corrected at site. Bechtel Hydrocarbon Technology Solutions (BHTS) and Petro-Chem Development Co., Inc. (PCD) offers state of the art Delayed Coker Furnace technology with properly specified Radiant Flux Profile, demonstrated at vendor facilities. BHTS and PCD offer a single point responsibility for Technology, Design, Fabrication and Erection of Delayed Coker Furnace with a guaranteed run length.
